Vanderbilt MSN 2020

Updated:   Published

I just attended Vanderbilt's fall open house for the 2020 year and I'm really excited to be applying! I'm hoping to connect with other Vandey applicants so we can offer support and info along this process. I am applying to the post BSN dual CNM/ FNP program.

Specializes in Psych.

Totally makes me more anxious because we have to wait all day!!

I can’t stop thinking about it! ? This is just so stressful!

I'm totally at peace. I'm usually an anxious wreck. Lol

By peace you mean pieces? Because I’m totally in pieces.

I am not calm either. Luckily I’ve filled the next three days with lots of work, appointments, and activities to keep me preoccupied. I’m only waiting for Vandey and UPenn decisions. I’m so ready to start planning my family’s move across country (I’m a planner). We’re in the home stretch ya’ll! Best of luck to everyone!

I’m very anxious, but I did the same thing... luckily I have work during the day and filling my evenings with activities (self care and working out to help with anxiety).

I applied for the PMHNP program.

That's great news that decisions will be released this week. I'm excited to meet my fellow cohort! I received a phone call from the admissions office about my application and was told I have been admitted to this incoming class.

For what it's worth, I don't think there are many spots available in Nashville to people directly applying for the specialty year. At least that's what I was told during the phone call with an admissions officer.

wow! Why did you call them?

Wow congratulations! What specialty are you and did you apply post-BSN or pre-specialty? Do you have any insight as to why you got a phone call versus waiting for decisions to release Friday?
