Hi! I'm starting a thread for Vanderbilt MSN Fall 2019. Anyone else applying/re-applying too? Please comment!

Well for others it would be favorable but unfortunately for me not so much...they have a policy that no student can be waitlisted 2 years in a row ?

Do you guys think there's a chance that admission decisions could be delayed because of the application opening later?

Has anyone on here applied to the PNP-AC program? Just wanted to know if anyone has any information on it. I applied before the November 1st deadline and was not able to attend the open house so I have very limit information on the program besides what is listed online. I didn’t know if anyone had heard anything from the program when it comes to how many people applied/ how many get admitted. Thanks!!

I don’t think so as long as you applied before the November deadline. The only reason why I think you could be notified later is if you didn’t apply before and depending on what program you applied for. This thread has said that admissions has gotten their highest number of applicants to date so if you recently applied I would assume it may be later just due to the sheer amount of applicants. But who knows haha.

This wait is literally killing me. Don’t know how I’m going to make it for the next two weeks.

I was thinking the same thing. A support group would come in handy right about now.

I feel the same way. I got waitlisted at Yale for the CNM program so now Vandy is my only hope for the midwifery track. It's always been my first choice but now I lost my back up plannn!!!!

I am losing my mind with this wait! Has anyone called lately and received any updates or are we still thinking it's gonna be the 14th?

I’m pretty sure it’ll be the 14th. There are no interviews scheduled for the remaining part of the month and from what i was told at least for PMHNP is that it would be around the middle of the month. But yeah the wait is torture. Ten more days y’all!

I called right after my PMHNP interview. The woman on the phone was going to give me a hint. Basically, I called and told her my interview experience and said that I am contemplating on applying for an accelerated BSN program. I told her that I know she can't tell me if I got accepted, but if she could tell me to move forward with applying to another program before the deadline, I would get the hint. She said ok, look my app up and said she did not see any notes (most likely because my interview was Friday and I called on Monday). I wish I would have waited a few days she was so going to tell me. She did read that it said per policy, I could not be waitlisted again and that a decision had to be made either way.

I'm still losing my mind, but that phone call helped to past a few days...

I spoke with the admissions department today and was told interviews are still taking place for PMHNP but no information on when decisions would be released.

I applied for the PMHNP program late. It was early Jan. Took awhile to get my recommendations in. Would have had it done sooner but the professors from my nursing school were on break.

I was told since I missed the priority deadline my app would be reviewed in March.
