Hi! I'm starting a thread for Fall 2018. Anyone else applying too? Please comment!

I caved and called. I was told it would be no sooner than mid-Feb.

But seriously, thanks for calling! I did some research, and last year they found out Feb 14th, Valentine's Day. So I guess they're gonna repeat that. Too bad we couldn't squeeze an answer out sooner, but at least I know not to wait up for it until mid-Feb..

But keep in mind that KMD is applying for the PNP track and that their notification dates might be different from ours.

I'm also applying for PMHNP and when I had my interview in December I was told that the first batch of decisions would be sent out the last week of January/first week of February.

I really hope that the wait isn't stretched out an extra two weeks.

The lady I spoke with was in MSN Admissions. I did tell her which specialty, but not because she asked. From previous threads, it looks like decisions came out at the same time online for most first round applicants no matter the specialty, so it's confusing. Hopefully she gave me a later timeline so I won't call back for a while, and we find out sooner. Ha!

I called and talked to some admissions lady. I told her that I was Psych PreSpecialty and she told me that decisions were not made yet and that they might be ready by mid to late Feb. I don't know why, during my Psych interview, I was told that decisions were gonna be made by Jan 22nd and to call and check.

Oh my god, same!! Except my interviewer didn't say to call and check, I think I mentioned it and I don't remember how he responded. But why tell us that date otherwise?

EDIT: Laura, do you want to call tomorrow? You have every right to explain that you were informed by your interviewer specifically of this date and to call and get your admit decision.

Why would Vanderbilt send out a "Have you been to Open House?" email to folks who haven't even gotten an interview invite? Ugh.

I had an interview and got that email as well. Don't really know if it means anything.

I had an interview, and I went to open house. I did not receive that email.

I am PreSpecialty Psych, got interviewed, went to the Open House, and got the e-mail. I don't think it means anything.
