Hi Sami! I'm applying to pmhnp too as a non-nurse. I would go for it, it is worth a shot, especially if your gre is above average and you have experience in the field.

Does anyone know which program we are supposed to pick when starting the application? I don't see any option for the PreSpecialty program, just the strictly MSN. I'm a little confused.

On the next section of the application it asks you what degree you are entering with, so you would put "Non-nursing Bachelor's"

So clarification on official transcripts.. We can request that our schools send them to data management as early as September 15th correct? So in other words we don't have to have the application submitted before we request they be sent, but we do not have to wait for them to be received if our application is ready to submit?

That is my understanding.

The application is now available. Does anyone know if they got rid of the Healthcare Leadership and Nursing Informatics programs? I noticed they are not showing up on the application and neither one is offered as a session at the Open House next month.

Yup, only 4 questions! Does anyone know how long the statement of purpose is supposed to be, or what the limit is? "Brief" is a very vague word, haha.

Someone else posted it on here last month - "In case anyone is curious- they want it 1 1/2 pages, single spaced. I spoke with them about it yesterday"

Hello everyone,

I am applying for FNP program at Vanderbilt.

I am in nursing school and my GPA is perfect 4.0, as well I am graduated pharmacist (from overseas). GPA from pharm school is not so high 3.0.

Nevertheless, my GRE is below average. My English is not good enough to get a good score.

Are there any chances to get into the program? I am so worried...
