Vanderbilt MSN 2016

Published

I haven't seen a thread yet for 2016 hopefuls, so I thought I'd start one. After much research and changing my mind back and forth, I decided to go for the Vanderbilt MSN. I would be direct entry as I already have my BSN. I finally decided on Pediatric Primary Care. I'm just worried about getting a job after graduation as I'm not really seeing much in the way of openings in the Nashville area--which is where I live.

Anyone who is Pre-Specialty heard anything yet or is everyone direct to MSN?

Specializes in Pediatric Critical Care.

Has everyone already taken statistics? My acceptance is pending me completing the stats pre-req. (I didnt do it yet because I honestly didnt think I was gonna get in.)

Is it just any 3 credit intro to stats course? I would hate to take a class and then find out it didnt count.

Just found my email that I was accepted to the Pre-Specialty program for Women's Health!!! So excited I might cry!! Congrats to everyone that has gotten accepted so far!!

Im in! AC-AGNP

Are you MSN or pre-specialty?

Has anyone heard anything for PMHNP?

Still nothing here yet...praying that doesn't mean bad news. Congratulations to all who have gotten in and for the rest of us waiting, keep hanging in there. We're in this together!

Maybe they're doing it alphabetically??

Congrats everyone! Still waiting to hear back from NNP specialty! Although, my GRE was not submitted until early Dec so I am not expecting to hear back with the early admissions group. Still so anxious though!! Any other NNP hopefuls out there?

To those asking about pre-specialty, I am pre-specialty and got official acceptance today for CNM.

Does anyone know what the range of scholarships is this year? I read somewhere (on the admitted students page maybe?) that the amounts are 3000-9000, but I was offered 11,500, so sounds like the amounts must be higher this year (good news for us!). Does anyone know about applying for the full tuition scholarship? There wasn't anything about that in my letter so I'm not sure if that means I didn't get it or that you can't apply for it yet.

Well didn't get in but will just get started on making next application better for next year! CONGRATULATIONS to all that have gotten in so far, best of luck to you guys!!

Sml14 - I got the same $ and was wondering the same thing! I was told those who are in the race for the full tuition scholarship will be asked to write an essay or apply and I don't think they'll contact people for that until after they know who's accepted their spots? I recall reading April somewhere regarding the internal scholarships (sent out or awarded, can't remember off the top of my head)
