I haven't seen a thread yet for 2016 hopefuls, so I thought I'd start one. After much research and changing my mind back and forth, I decided to go for the Vanderbilt MSN. I would be direct entry as I already have my BSN. I finally decided on Pediatric Primary Care. I'm just worried about getting a job after graduation as I'm not really seeing much in the way of openings in the Nashville area--which is where I live.
Just wondering if any applicants want to share their insights. What makes you attracted to Vanderbilt's program over others that you may have applied to? Looking forward to hearing your thoughts :)
I applied to Vanderbilt and Duke. I also considered Alabama, Rush, and a few others. For me the big selling point for Vanderbilt over the others is that the program is shorter than the others. I think I will be most successful if I leave my job and just go to school full time, and an accelerated program like Vandy will allow me to do that. A program like Duke, which takes 7 semesters, wouldnt - I would have to work part time.`
I have a friends who attended Vanderbilt for NNP - she LOVED it and says that she learned a ton. Hopefully I'll get a chance to do the same!

What if she just said that because after 5 she will be out of the office and you can't call her again then?
