Roll call!!
Yep! I'm almost done!!I decided to do the titers. That way I'll always know that I'm protected. I think I'll be nervous enough with clinicals to worry about contracting a disease. Lol :)
I'm sure you'll knock them out in no time!!! I'm planning to do the physical last. I get more and more excited everyday!!!!
I learned this the expensive way: If you're going to be moved to Nashville a week or so before starting school, just wait and get your physical, titers, immunizations once you get here.
Although we were sent the information that all of this had to be done prior to beginning orientation last August, very few of us (only the REALLY Type As) had done so. I spent over $500 on my blood work, immunizations, etc. last year in July so I would have them done when they would have cost well under $100 had I just waited and done them at Student Health.
All lot of people were still working on these requirements up to the point where we were starting clinicals!

Thanks for asking -- it's going amazingly well. The plan is to take (and pass!) NCLEX by the end of August. Boot camp starts in a couple of weeks, then NCLEX review course, then testing as soon as possible after that. It has been quite a year, I gotta say!
How are you doing? Getting everything pulled together? Let me know if I can share any info with you about the program, NVL, etc.
yes, keep it positive and you WILL do great!!!
did you guys do ATI? I used a saunders + their calendar to organize + LaCharity's Prioritization and Delegation- really felt prepared!
I am very excited- I am a RN now so next yr is prespecialty-little nervous about work+kids+ classes/workload- do you know if we have each class for the entire semester or are some only done during blocks? I'm coming for Aug block w another RN from NC, where should we stay?

Thanks Med
It still hasn't sunk in yet. I'm spending my little remaining summer reviewing A&P and Pharm stuff so I can hit the ground running. I did my BLS certification back in October, and I was toying with going for the ACLS course, but I don't think I can fit that AND all this review into 8 weeks or so
Still gotta get financing and housing in order, agh! The stress is worth it though! Are you direct-entry or pre-specialty? Looking forward to meeting you!
