Hi AllNurses Universe,

I'm thrilled to announce that I have been accepted to the Direct Entry MSN program for ACNP-Intensivist this fall! Is anyone else out there?

I don't think mine took too long! Can't really remember! But I did just sign for all my loans yesterday! Way to go on getting the paperwork in! Half the battle. :) Congrats Psych RN on your admission! Im getting excited to get started! Started looking through our books and am counting down the days till I depart from Colorado! :)

HI!!

I just found out TODAY that I got an acceptance! I am so excited I can hardly stand it! I am enrolled in the Pediatric Acute Care NP program starting in the fall, doing distance format.

I have got to get some info about where to stay, fly, transportation, etc...Anyone have any resources yet?

Anyone else out there in this program?

Hi Everyone!!! Congrats too all of those you have been accepted :) You deserve it!

I am hoping to apply this fall for next year's cohort in 2012 and desperately need some advice. I took the GRE's and passed the threshold of 1000 as I got a 1080. However, I scored a 4.0 on the essay instead of the 4.5 minimum required online. My GPA for pre-reqs is a 4.0, last 60 semester or 90 qtr units are at a 3.5 and overall GPA are at a 3.0.

My question is in regards to the GRE. Online, it says that the MINIMUM req is 1000 and a 4.5. How true is that statement? I recognize its all on conditions and its on an applicant by applicant basis. But I wanted to get clarification if they outright deny you if that minimum component is not met. I don't want to waste my money if I'll just be filtered out of the applicant pool for not meeting it.

How long did it take to get your financial aid once you got your acceptance letter?

I am chomping at the bit for starting in August. I just got my letter this past weekend.

I'd imagine that it wouldn't be too long for you! Since we are getting soooo close! Have you applied for loans at all? You might want to get in touch with the financial aid office! :) I am so excited to get started. I just ordered all my books! Nikki, did you find a place to live yet? We'll have to plan a little AN get-together during orientation!

I am a distance student in the peds acute care program. I finally got my letter, but am still chewing on how much of it I am going to take. I got an enormous amount that made me want to throw up! That is a LOT of money!

Yes, Please about the get together, I need some buddies down there! Right now I am debating on the Embassy Suites and Hampton Inn for the first block.:nurse:

Nikki, I'm not Direct Entry, I'm RN Pre-Specialty, but I am staying at the Hampton Inn on West End during the first block. Looks to be about a 10-15 minute walk to the nursing buildings as far as I can tell. :)
