I'm thrilled to announce that I have been accepted to the Direct Entry MSN program for ACNP-Intensivist this fall! Is anyone else out there?

I'm still waiting to hear from Vanderbilt....trying to be patient LOL I applied for the Adult/Women's Health program.

I applied for the Direct Entry (graduate with BSN in May) and I am watching the mail like a hawk. A classmate of mine found out over a week ago that she got into the Women's Health (part time), so since then I've been really antsy! LOL

I had been watching the mail every day. The wait was killing me. I called the admission office on Friday and they were able to tell me their decision... I was accepted into the Direct Entry ANP/GNP program. :yeah:

The person I spoke to in admissions made me think that letters haven't been mailed yet. I guess they will mail them when they get back from Spring Break?

Thanks, FlowRider! I'll call. I had emailed the day before my friend had received her letter and admissions said that letters would hopefully go out the first of March, but couldn't tell me if I had been accepted yet. I will try to call tomorrow. Were you dealing with Cheryl in admissions?

I don't remember her name. After she told me I had been admitted, I went to my happy place... Lol! :clown: I do remember her being extremely nice and helpful. Good luck when you make the call. Let us know the results.

The only reason I know Cheryl's name is that we spent so much time emailing back and forth with all my questions as I submitted my app :) And she gave us a tour when we came down to see the campus. I sure hope they aren't on spring break with the students! I don't think I can stand another week of waiting LOL

I'll keep you posted. We'll have to have a get together of allnurses.com students!

Congrats everyone, take heart those waiting! I'm here in Nashville, I attended the open house, returning home tomorrow. It's a lovely campus, I can't wait to spend the next year here!

I've been accepted to Vanderbilt's FNP for Fall 2011! I'm so excited, but am still waiting to hear from UT Knoxville, where I live. I know Vanderbilt's got a good name, but is there enough of a demand for NP's that it doesn't really matter where you attend? UTK would certainly be cheaper! Thanks for your thoughts.
