Valencia College Spring 2016

Published

Hello everyone,

I know it may be a little early but who will be applying to Valencia's nursing program for spring 2016? I will be submitting my application next week and I just wanted to start a thread to see if anyone submitted their application already!

Yes the email came through atlas. But I did read priority acceptance for spring went through September 15, so you might be okay! It took them about 9 weeks to get back to me. But I was constantly emailing them and annoying them lol good luck to you!!!

Thank you! Are you going to apply to the concurrent program as well? Also, who were you emailing? I'm the same way, I will probably be constantly annoying them lol.

I can't apply to the concurrent only because I haven't finished chemistry yet :/ I wish k could though. The process may be faster for you since you applied to both! And I emailed health sciences advising which you can find the email address on the nursing page on the Valencia website! I emailed my name and Valencia ID and just asked about the progress on my application

When you emailed them, did they answer you back within a decent time? I'm wondering if I should email them although I only applied in Aug and it's only been 4weeks.. I don't want to be that person.

Lol I am the same way. I waited until about 7 weeks then I emailed them for the first time. And they replied back within 48 hours. And all they said was please allow more time for processing. Then I emailed again at 9 weeks and about 2 days later I got my acceptance letter!

I submitted my app in June and I received my conditional acceptance letter about 3 weeks ago; so I'm pretty happy about that. Now I just have to get through the hassle of financial aid since this is my second degree after my bfa.

Yeah I have to get my financial aid figured out too because the semester after I had my son I didn't do too well and it got suspended and I haven't been full time since, so hopefully I can get it because I do not have the money to pay out of pocket.

What do you have to do for financial aid? This will also be my second degree and I was told that I had to fill out an appeal form after k receive an acceptance letter.

Yup, they told me the exact same thing. So I had to get ahold of health science advising to send my education plan for the program. Im submitting everything on monday cause they said the appeal could take up to 8 weeks.

They didn't tell me about the education plan. Did you just email it to the health science email address or did you actually speak to an advisor face to face? Was there a form to complete the education plan?

If you don't mind me asking, what date is the orientation? I'm doing some traveling in November and just in case I do get in (fingers crossed), I wouldn't want to be traveling on that day.

It is on Friday November 13th at 10 am!
