Valencia College Spring 2016

Hello everyone,

I know it may be a little early but who will be applying to Valencia's nursing program for spring 2016? I will be submitting my application next week and I just wanted to start a thread to see if anyone submitted their application already!

I passed what I meant was with a better grade

yes actually 20 chapters start with 26,27,10,15,28,3,19,20,4,5,6,29,7,8,9,1,13,31,41. the exams are pretty basic. they are not hard honestly, I didn't pass because I spent time reading all sort of resources instead of reading the book. lectures are worthless LOL. fundamentals success is a really good book to get familiar with the questions, and I recommend it. at the library there's a program call nclex4000, practice those questions because the exam hesi looks like that

Thank you so much! I guess I know what I'll be doing for the next few weeks, plus practicing dosage. My goodness the program hasn't even started and we already have "homework". Welcome to Nursing, right? Lol

exactly you got it. the issue is that the problems from the book are harder than the ones we do, if you send me an email I can send you practice quizzes so will know where to focus my email is [email protected]

Thank you so much! Has anyone purchased the white shoes yet? I saw them at the uniform store but thought they were too expensive. Any suggestions?

make sure they are comfortable, as long as they are not canvas or fabric you can choose whatever you want, by the end of the semester you will have 2 days of clinicals so believe comfy shoes are a must

I've ordered couple books off Amazon, some from Half off, and the Fundamentals bundle along with Pharm I have bought at the Valencia bookstore.

Did a anyone purchase their lab kit yet? If so, how much was it?

Everything is is just adding up and the amount of money I'm spending is stressing me out.

I purchased mine, it came out to about $164 after tax. And I feel the same exact way!

the nursing 1 kit is expensive because you guys are having several skills check off. for nursing 2 it cost just $30 and you only neef the med surgical book, the books required for nursing one will be used throughout the program

Wow! That's expensive.I wouldn't feel this way if financial aid was helping me pay for the materials but it's all out of pocket & I'm using my savings. Well it'll all be worth it in the end!
