Valencia College 2019 Orlando

Hello!

I have a question for any Valencia College students in Orlando, Florida. How many of you are currently waiting to be accepted into nursing school for 2019? I submitted my application in June 2018, got wait-listed before the Spring term started. I'm currently waiting to be accept for the Summer or Fall 2019 term. Please share the date you submitted your application, if you've been accepted or any news on the status of your application. Would love to share our experiences. THANKS!

i also applied for the evening program (which is now my top pick) back in December. That process was a hassle because up until mid January my status was registering as “incomplete” there was a lot of back and forth about that so hopefully it didn’t affect my place in their “first come first served” process.

I didn’t realize that we could hear back so soon becaus the confirmation email said we puke hear back by end of March.

Good luck with your applications! Maybe you'll have a leg up since you applied for Fall! I would guess that all of y'all who applied last year should be in good standing! ?

@Batsy Do you know who can go to the March 22nd orientation?

I can't be nearly as long as it's been! (Especially orientation only about a month away!)

I'm guessing that site is set up for a whomever is admitted to those programs. I think ALL traditional daytime students will be scheduled for the same orientation day/time and I think all traditional evening/weekend students have their own orientation on the same date.

If only we knew if we will be in attendance. ?

So you're guessing, well have our acceptance letters before March 22nd? Thats exciting!

I don't think so. I think they'll assign orientation times/dates to the students who are accepted for summer.

Oh man, I hope so!!! We'd need at least a little notice in order to attend, especially if it's mandatory. My guess is DEFINITELY before March 8th; that's the last instruction day before Spring Break!

One thing to do while waiting is get your physical, shot records together and Basic Life Support class done. It will be a mad rush once those letters are sent out and then panic will set in.

I already have my shot record together but I am going to hold off on getting the BLS since, it cost money and a whole day. I don’t want to waste a weekend or my husband taking off to watch the kids. We should find out soon, my anxiety is not as high as it was waiting to hear if I would have gotten into the spring time.

How did u go about getting it??? Did u have to get new vaccines or did u just request a copy?
