Hello!
I have a question for any Valencia College students in Orlando, Florida. How many of you are currently waiting to be accepted into nursing school for 2019? I submitted my application in June 2018, got wait-listed before the Spring term started. I'm currently waiting to be accept for the Summer or Fall 2019 term. Please share the date you submitted your application, if you've been accepted or any news on the status of your application. Would love to share our experiences. THANKS!

When they say "Decision updates for the upcoming term will be communicated 6-8 weeks after January 15th, May 15th and September 15th". Do I apply May 15 or ASAP. Let me know I'm about to have a breakdown if i waste any more time!!
If you've met all of the requirements, apply ASAP! You won't get an admission decision until 6-8 weeks after May 15th, but students who meet the requirements are evaluated on a first-come, first-served basis. Don't wait! Good luck with your app!

No may 15th is just the priority deadline! Apply as soon as possible.

As most have stated, go ahead and apply once you are ready. It's first come first serve. You will receive the letter stating that the Health Science Department has received your application email soon after your application has been received and payment has been posted to your account, which can take one or two days. However, you won't hear anything about acceptance until 6-8 weeks after the May 15th date. Good luck!

You should wait. They look at your GPA at the time of your application.
Stumbled on this post!
congrats to everyone who got accepted!
tips from a daytime west N1 student:
(I’m on the silver team but here goes)
Practice dosage now. Trust me.
Try to learn as much as you can at clinicals. They’re as fun as you make them and you really do learn a lot.
The professors seem harsh but they will work with you. Just keep putting in consistent work and ALWAYS do your best.
Youre going to cry a lot from stress. Like a lot.
Get a big water bottle (I have a 32 oz thermos) and fill it up with ice water. It’s hydrate or die.
Practice your skills. Sign up for the tutoring sessions. But also know that the second you walk in that room on the day of the actual skills check you’re probably going to panic a bit. Just breathe.
DO ALL OF THE READINGS BEFORE LECTURE!
The answer on the test is always safety or serum potassium
It goes by quick. So just learn as much as you can!
