  1. Stumbled on this post! congrats to everyone who got accepted! tips from a daytime west N1 student: (I’m on the silver team but here goes) Practice dosage now. Trust me. Try to learn as much as you can at clinicals. They’re as fun as you make them and you really do learn a lot. The professors seem harsh but they will work with you. Just keep putting in consistent work and ALWAYS do your best. Youre going to cry a lot from stress. Like a lot. Get a big water bottle (I have a 32 oz thermos) and fill it up with ice water. It’s hydrate or die. Practice your skills. Sign up for the tutoring sessions. But also know that the second you walk in that room on the day of the actual skills check you’re probably going to panic a bit. Just breathe. DO ALL OF THE READINGS BEFORE LECTURE! The answer on the test is always safety or serum potassium It goes by quick. So just learn as much as you can! ?bree
  2. Hey guys! nursing 1 student here (trying to make it to n2.) So our clinical rotation for N2 is med surg. Which is exciting yes, but I’m also incredibly nervous. Ive passed out before (not in class, I was younger but our N1 clinicals were at long term rehab and nursing home facilities. I guess what I’m asking here is how in depth did yalls med surg clinical go and do you have any tips for NOT passing out?
  3. Hey! I'm thinking of applying to the nursing program at Valencia College, but I'm a bit nervous. I have a history of passing out and I was hoping to avoid a clinical rotation in surgery/ER. Are these required?? I'm fine with needles and all of that but thinking about the ER/surgery gives me major anxiety. Help? Is nursing for me? I'll take any advice I can get I love health science but I don't know what to do
