Valencia College 2019 Orlando

Published

Hello!

I have a question for any Valencia College students in Orlando, Florida. How many of you are currently waiting to be accepted into nursing school for 2019? I submitted my application in June 2018, got wait-listed before the Spring term started. I'm currently waiting to be accept for the Summer or Fall 2019 term. Please share the date you submitted your application, if you've been accepted or any news on the status of your application. Would love to share our experiences. THANKS!

Stumbled on this post!

congrats to everyone who got accepted!

tips from a daytime west N1 student:

(I’m on the silver team but here goes)

Practice dosage now. Trust me.

Try to learn as much as you can at clinicals. They’re as fun as you make them and you really do learn a lot.

The professors seem harsh but they will work with you. Just keep putting in consistent work and ALWAYS do your best.

Youre going to cry a lot from stress. Like a lot.

Get a big water bottle (I have a 32 oz thermos) and fill it up with ice water. It’s hydrate or die.

Practice your skills. Sign up for the tutoring sessions. But also know that the second you walk in that room on the day of the actual skills check you’re probably going to panic a bit. Just breathe.

DO ALL OF THE READINGS BEFORE LECTURE!

The answer on the test is always safety or serum potassium

It goes by quick. So just learn as much as you can!

Thank you for this!!

I’m trying to register for classes today and it won’t let me. Anyone else having this problem?

Jenna,

The nursing students register April 8 at 3 PM. Your registration ticket says April 3 because that’s when registration opens for Valencia students as a whole. I just spoke with Kate regarding this.

I realized that after I posted that. April 8th is also on the paperwork they gave us at orientation so I tried it just to see if it would work. Thanks !

Is anyone excited, nervous or both?

Oh God, definitely both! Thankfully there's so much prep work to do beforehand that you barely have time to dwell too much ?

both and I haven't finished my castle branch paper work!

a question: Do we fax or print cpr certification or drug screen results? or just upload them on Castle branch?

Farrah you can upload them as well. The drug screening results will automatically be sent to castle branch.
