Valencia College 2019 Orlando

Hello!

I have a question for any Valencia College students in Orlando, Florida. How many of you are currently waiting to be accepted into nursing school for 2019? I submitted my application in June 2018, got wait-listed before the Spring term started. I'm currently waiting to be accept for the Summer or Fall 2019 term. Please share the date you submitted your application, if you've been accepted or any news on the status of your application. Would love to share our experiences. THANKS!

I just have a feeling that I’m gonna get waitlisted honestly but I’m trying my best to be hopeful. I didn’t even consider that multipe campuses apply for west campus.

True, but they have around 80 daytime traditional seats for WC; hopefully that helps! I applied for Osceola and I have no idea how in-demand that campus is compared to West. I'm hoping its not too bad.

No I was waitlisted for one semester and for some personal reasons I had to ask for deferment for summer semester

@SashaSasha No it its not mandatory to get the flu shot per Valencia College -Health Compliance documents. However, if you choose not to get vaccinated, you will have to sign the waiver. I've copied and pasted it below.

"I have read the above statement regarding seasonal influenza vaccine. I fully understand that my declination of this vaccine will necessitate my wearing a mask during the entire shift in most clinical settings as required by the facility."
