VA Palo Alto New Grad Program 2023

Published

Didn't see a forum regarding the VA Palo Alto New Grad Program that's supposed to start in July. I heard decisions are supposed to be solidified mid-April, so I was wondering if anyone heard back yet for interviews, etc?

When do you think would be a good time to give my current employer my two weeks notice? Or is it even safe to do so? I asked someone who went through the program before and she said she didn't get the final offer til a week before the start date...

Has anyone gotten scheduled yet for the physical or the email from e-qip? I haven't gotten anything yet. Also does anyone know what our starting pay will be? I haven't heard yet.

I just got an email that someone should be emailing me within the next 3 days about scheduling a pre-placement medical examination.

I haven't received anything about the physical yet. I was emailed last week about info for completing my background but I'm not sure if it's same as the e-qip or something different.

Have you guys filled out the benefits information section in your tasks? I'm a little confused on some parts and was wondering if you received info about it or are we supposed to research on our own?

I didn't get anything about benefits. Did anyone hear back about physical or eqip?

I haven't been reached out about the physical. I completed NBIS, which is the background check, but I'm not sure if that's in replace of e-quip or not. Have you done been reached out to complete NBIS?

Nope I didn't get anything about this either. Was it a emailed link or something in the onboarding tasks? My HR person is on vacation so someone else is covering from them but I haven't been receiving any emails.

They said that upon orientation they're going to give us instructions on how to fill out the benefits section and it doesn't have to be completed right away but they also provided emails if we have any questions about it.

Information about it was sent to me through email!

Finally got an email about E-QUIP, but still nothing regarding the physical LOL. Also, are most of you guys waiting till orientation before filling out the benefits stuff in the on-boarding tasks? I always feel the need to ask, because the due dates make me feel like I need to complete stuff ASAP ? Don't wanna fall behind somehow haha.

I'm waiting until orientation to fill out the benefits section LOL I looked at everything in that section and it's confusing
