VA Palo Alto New Grad Program 2023

Didn't see a forum regarding the VA Palo Alto New Grad Program that's supposed to start in July. I heard decisions are supposed to be solidified mid-April, so I was wondering if anyone heard back yet for interviews, etc?

Oh wow.. I wish HR would let us know a specific date because saying mid April is very misleading and non specific. Guess we just keep on waiting ?

I agree...because now I'm thinking even if they solidify decisions mid April, I wonder if this means they'll reach out by next week OR if they finalize their decisions, but will just reach out at a later time....as each day goes by I feel so anxious LOL

I don't know I think it's an extremely good sign they called our references (they ended up reaching out to mine yay) because I feel like if we were no longer being considered they wouldn't have called? you know? Maybe the people who references haven't been called didn't get it...? I have no idea I am losing my mind LOL?

Has anyone heard anything? The manager said the names of accepted people have been sent to HR and we should have heard this week or next. Has anyone heard yet?

Oh how interesting, did you recently contact the hiring manager you interviewed with to ask about this? I think I saw some post on Fb where people said managers were supposed to get back to us last week....so confusing LOL

Bc now I'm wondering if it's appropriate to send a follow up email, inquiring about selected candidates...since "mid April" is coming to a close

I haven't heard anything either. Hopefully HR will contact us next week.

yeah I'm so confused as well. For me the managers who interviewed me only said when they would make selections but did not specify when we would get notified. So I'm hearing so many different things haha.

Right? For me when I asked when to expect to hear something back, all I got was "MAYBE 3-4 weeks.." With the way they said it, I inferred this timeline could be longer LOL...

I emailed him on Monday 4/17 he was the unit ICU manager I interviewed with and he said I should hear this week or next week because they sent a list of the accepted names to HR and now we are waiting for HR to contact us with an offer. He said there may be delays but yeah..

I just got a call and email with a tentative offer (upon clearing pre-employment screening)!
