So I happened to fail the NCLEX June 23rd.. I had 200 questions.
So now I'm training with UWORLD for my 2nd attempt (I used kaplanonlineQbank, and hurstreviewonline for my 1st attempt).. and NO LIE... in my first test that I did on UWORLD, I saw more than 3 exact questions that I saw on the NCLEX ( word for word) . I remember the questions because they were actually the ones I struggled with during the NCLEX. Other than seeing those... the setup and the type of questions on UWORLD are VERY VERYYYY similar to the type of questions that are on the NCLEX.
I was upset at first when I saw that I didn't pass, but its a blessing to have my own understanding NOW of what the test looks like.. after so many months of people telling me how it is.. and all of that. Now I have a legit VISUAL of the test after taking.. and I feel way more confident now than I was before.
you World is the IT factor folks...

No, it's not. How on earth do you remember 1, much less 3 questions word for word from NCLEX? I don't remember one.
Uworld is much harder than NCLEX and focuses too much on content.
I'm glad you find it helpful. I kind of wish I had saved my $60. Learning how to correctly prioritize is the key to NCLEX. Prioritize and safely practice.

It was not exactly word to word as the NCLEX. I took the NCLEX and the screen looked like Uworld. Uworld focused on content but NCLEX focused oncritical thinking and less about content and in my opinion NLCEX didn't look like anything I know or practiced !!!!

I agree, I think UWorld is great in that it is both a content review and practicing of questions all rolled into one. The screen looks similar to NCLEX as far as the screen yes, but I don't think it's exactly like the NCLEX. I thought it was just me.

Yeah i have to disagree UWorld is considerable harder than NCLEX. But you're on the right track though, just focus on the rationales and do it with all your heart.
Its not hard to remember NCLEX questions word for word because some of them are so short. I remember my last question word for word, albeit i doubt you saw an NCLEX question that was word for word with any question bank out there. Maybe they were asking the same thing but surely not word for word.
UWorld is great, its the best $110 investment I've ever made. Read all rationales take notes and you will pass.
I appreciate your feedback guys. ðŸ‘ðŸ‘
I guess I don't understand. The screen looks the same??? What does that mean?? I dos Uworld on both the app and laptop and I'm struggling to understand. The screen should not mean a thing. Maybe that's why I never noticed it.
And yes, Uworld is ridiculously hard and focuses too much on content. They go for very small, nitpicky things. As does Saunders, ATI, and Kaplan. Content is not what the NCLEX is about. It's about the bare minimum practicing safely. I honestly think people miss that point. I know I did.
But I don't understand how people who have taken it come back with, Uworld is all you need!!! No it's not. Looking back, as long as I don't d some types of questions everyday to keep my mind in that mode, I would have been fine. If somebody can't afford the expense of Uworld, they are still going to be fine if all they have access to is Kaplan. That is, if they correctly understood and safety and how to determine who their sickest patient is.
I wont get into my questions but it was nothing that I had studied. It was hard to explain. I'm sure there was small amount of content, but not much. Uworld focused on how to zero art lines and the difference in the water seal on chest tubes. That's not even close to NCLEX.

Ths screen looks the same means that UWorld has the same screen format as NCLEX with the blue and white background. If you took the NCLEX you should definitely have noticed that similarity.
That feeling of familiarity gives comfort to some people in that they feel they are looking at something they have been using already when taking the NCLEX exam. This can be a benefit for some people since they might not be as nervous.

Uworld is most likely harder than the NCLEX, so when you take the NCLEX, you're more prepared. Content and mastery, therein, are very helpful foundations for directing you to correctly prioritize and execute effective management of care. This helps filter inappropriate answer choices.

Well, I know a few people from my school that used Uworld only and passed, 75 questions. I know people who just took it, that, in their opinion, Uworld was similar to NCLEX. Uworld, has content, but they do have priority questions. I do Kaplan and Uworld. I love Uworld.

sorry to say, but uworld looks nothing like the nclex not even the screen. At least not my test, it looks more like exam cram questions and format. I hate how expensive it is for just one month, yes people have pass with it, but is not the only thing out there to help you pass. IMO by the way.

I took the NCLEX in May 2019 and failed first attempt after making over 1400 on the Hesi. I thought for sure I would pass but after 265 questions plus 30 research questions I failed. I purchased UWorld the next day. After only 30 practice questions I noticed 3 questions were on the NCLEX almost word for word. The concepts in Uworld are the same. Uworld is similar to NCLEX in difficulty and at a higher level than Hesi. The screen in Uworld is almost identical to the NCLEX screen. I love Uworld and believe this is exactly what I need to get me from near standard (as per my performance report) to above standard.
