UWORLD?, NCLEX in a few days

I test in a week. I am beyond nervous..

I have been using UWORLD for the last month and my avg is a 50%.

I reviewed Hurst for a month to get the basic content down. My average scores for their bank was 60%

For Uworld, I have been reading the rationales carefully and even writing notes and trying to reread them.

I also was told to try to go back and retake some Uworld quizzes to see if I retained information and see if my score gets higher. Obviously one might remember the answer but to really try to understand why the correct answer is what it is.

Anyone have any experience with this source and what your average scores were? If you combined any other sources? Or any tips in general.

I am just trying to get the endless amount of information to stick.

I am so nervous for for the NCLEX and I don't want to fail.

Hi, I write my Nclex RN in 2 days!

I attended the live hurst Review (I didn't do the Qbank, as i heard from other sources there q's are not as challenging) So i focused my content on the lectures and reviewed the notes.

-For Question wise I used Uworld: average 60%. The odd one with maybe 1 test i got 49%, and some I got 80%. But roughly averaging 60%.

I read the rationales i got wrong if i don't understand why.

-Also using PDA by lacharity- did all the first half of the book question & now about 1/2 of the case studies. (heard this ia a must book for priortization, delegation and assignment. Question scoring average 70%. Based on about 20 questions per chapter.

-I have suanders book but find it is a bit overkill with content and thus i used hurst instead.

Personally, I like Uworld for questions & hurst for content review!

I think to do okay on nclex you should be getting roughly 60% avg. for uworld ques! but who knows! Im nervous & need a prayer for wednesday!!

I test in 1 week also and my average is 50% also. I just started a few days ago so I am not even near half way through the questions. I was told that a 50% should be fine as some of my classmates passed the NCLEX with a 50% UWORLD average. Some classmates also used Hurst and/or Kaplan and/or Lacharity. I understand not wanting to fail, I am from Canada and we are only allowed 3 tries to attempt the NCLEX. good luck to you!

Good luck on your NCLEX! I passed in July. I used Uworld with an average score of 58%; Kaplan q-bank just under the suggested average and Hurst, again 2% under the suggested average. Don't worry about your averages, just feel confident going in. Half the exam is not stressing. But if it makes you feel better your scores look like your ready! Again good luck and remember to breath..

Thankyou for taking the time to provide feed back. I found some free Qbank kaplan questions on quizlet and knocked out 300 of those in 2 days. Both my averages were 67%. But i found that the Kaplan questions were definitely easier then Uworld. Maybe it was the format on quizlet, i don't know ---but from what I did they were definitely easier. Don't know if thats a good thing.

I tested Monday found out I passed today. I used UWORLD ONLY and my overall average was 52% You CAN do this. Best wishes

I took my exam Yesterday.

Shut off at 76 and all i got were multiple choice and SATA.

I honestly felt like I was swimming in the dark. The questions were not difficult to comprehend but the answers were so vague and similar. I wasn't prepared for that. Nclex knows what they are doing. They do not play into popular diseases and or signs and symptoms that they know students will know. Its all random.

Im pretty sure I failed. i am hoping for the best but prepared for the worst. I studied ALOT. Two months. :(

My results are on hold right now so no Pearson Vue trick for me.
