Hi guys, I just applied to UWF's FNP program that starts in January. I'm curious if anyone else has, as well. Anyone know timelines of when we're supposed to find out if we're accepted or not? Elsewise, do any past or current students have any information on the pace or any other relevant information about the program? I'd appreciate any info ?
I have created a FB group page. Please join if you want to connect with others in the this program. Search UWF FNP Spring 2021 or click the link https://www.facebook.com/groups/382378309881360/?ref=share
Best of luck to everyone!
To all of my peers that did not get in, please keep trying. This was my second attempted. I have been in the medical field for 21 years and a nurse for 15. One thing that I did do to make my CV shine a little bit better between my two attempts was volunteer. Additionally, FNPs are crucial to the future of primary care and I spoke to that in my goal statement. That was really the only differences between my two applications (and more years of experiences).
Hang in there, if becoming an advance practicing nurse is what you want, it will happen! As nurses, we all know that what we plan is never what happens.....its always on someone else's time line!
To all the folks that were accepted into the program........the next 3 years is going to be a challenge. I hope we can lean on each other to survive!

Yeah, I didn’t get in either. Guess I’m just going to have to start applying to other programs. Bummer. Congrats and good luck to those admitted!
