UWF FNP Fall 2018

Hi all! I wanted to start a thread (and maybe a fb group if interested?) for the uwf fnp program starting this fall (2018). I'm new to the area and know very little about UWF, that's my main reason for reaching out :), and I found the fb group I had in nursing school was extreeeemely helpful. Congrats to the peeps who got accepted.. if you find this thread and weren't accepted, don't be discouraged!! feel free to PM if you've got questions about my credentials, and keep trying/good luck in the future!!!!

Congrats to everyone on being accepted into the program! I will have completed my first year soon in the FNP program. It is a busy program, but very doable. Some of the classes are the same I saw in my BSN program, but some are completely different, like Pharm and Patho. Create a life/school balance and find what works for you. The FB page we setup does help answer some questions we may have. The program is fairly new and has had some glitches along the way. I'm super excited to start my clinical rotation this fall. I wish you all luck!

Thank you! I found the bsn program busy but very doable so this gives me hope. Lol good luck on clinicals. It should be fun! ?

i wouldn't start until Jan assuming I get accepted ? I wanted to find people who went through the program and get feedback since this program is so new. Deciding between this one and an older more established one but is more $$

Hey I created the FB group and a new thread. Look up the UWF FNP Fall 2019 thread. The facebook group is "UWF FNP FALL 2019". Look for it and I can add you. ? Hope we can get all our classmates on there. ?

Here is the link to the all nurses group.

Now for Facebook all you have to do is search the group it's "UWF FNP Fall 2019“ you should be able yo find it.

hi, for those of you who were accepted can you give any input into the program? Curriculum? Is it doable working FT and going to school? Etc......Any info is appreciated

@hdrn90 @PBJBanana88 How has this program been for you? Is it 8 week format? Papers and tests? Would love some insight into your experience and if you think its manageable working fulltime.

For those of you who have been in the program now can you give us any updates? What has it been like? Would you choose this program again? Also, do you go to campus for a skills lab? I see that some schools do and some don't.
