UWF FNP Fall 2018

Hi all! I wanted to start a thread (and maybe a fb group if interested?) for the uwf fnp program starting this fall (2018). I'm new to the area and know very little about UWF, that's my main reason for reaching out :), and I found the fb group I had in nursing school was extreeeemely helpful. Congrats to the peeps who got accepted.. if you find this thread and weren't accepted, don't be discouraged!! feel free to PM if you've got questions about my credentials, and keep trying/good luck in the future!!!!

Mine also took some time and I just now received my acceptance letter about 2 days ago via snail mail and an email 4 days ago, but it sounds like you're in :)

Hi! For those of you that were accepted, how much experience do you have? I’m afraid my experience on the floor may be too old (3 years PRN 9 years ago) but have been volunteering in community health the past 2 years. I’ve been an OT for 20 years also but really worried my lack of/old nursing experience will decrease my chances! I’m happy for any feedback!

I can not figure out how to PM but if youd share your credentials that would be awesome. Trying to decide if I should stall starting a program in august to see if Im accepted to UWF.

How is the program so far? I'm applying for the Spring FNP program. Haven't heard much about it since its such a new program.

Fsuao2006 I am starting in August are you? I've heard the program is very challenging! It would be nice for all of us to keep in touch through it all. Don't you think?
