Hi future nurses ?
I have started to submit materials to all of the schools that I am applying to this year (yippie!) and saw that the University of Washington's BSN program application opened today.
I thought it might be fun to start a thread for this cohort of applicants for questions, comments, worries, etc.
I am a post-bacc student with a sub-par GPA (3.1 undergrad in Sociology with a 3.6 pre-requisite GPA). I previously earned my CNA license in another state, and I am hoping to get it reinstated in Washington here in the next couple of weeks... and hopefully get some CNA work experience.
I'd love to hear from anyone about their application experiences with UW in the past!
Let's chat ?

Fingers crossed and sending good vibes to you all. Take a day to yourself to refresh your mindset.
I did attend a info session last week and they said they take people off the waitlist up until 2 weeks prior to classes start. I also heard that waitlisted student went as far as 20 were accepted. Also, the NCLEX pass rate has dropped from 90% to 80%.
Hello BSN Applicants: Hope you are doing well!
Just an update - applications are currently under review. All decisions will be made by the end of April. We received a large number of applications this year and the Admission Committee is working diligently to review the applications. You can expect a decision no later than April 29th.
If you are reviewing your UW School of Nursing applicant portal, please note no updates will be made until decisions go out. The decision should be locked until we send out notifications.
Thank you!

Thanks for the update Kara.
So...are all the decisions coming out on the 29th then?

I believe if you have a check mark on everything but decision made, it probably means they've made a decision and your application is no longer under review. I don’t think they put a check mark on decision made, l applied last year and mine still has a lock on decision made.
