UW Seattle Fall 2022 BSN

Updated:   Published

Hi future nurses ?
I have started to submit materials to all of the schools that I am applying to this year (yippie!) and saw that the University of Washington's BSN program application opened today.
I thought it might be fun to start a thread for this cohort of applicants for questions, comments, worries, etc.
I am a post-bacc student with a sub-par GPA (3.1 undergrad in Sociology with a 3.6 pre-requisite GPA). I previously earned my CNA license in another state, and I am hoping to get it reinstated in Washington here in the next couple of weeks... and hopefully get some CNA work experience.
I'd love to hear from anyone about their application experiences with UW in the past!
Let's chat ?

Hey ya'll! What number do you call to receive your updated status on the waitlist? Do you just give your name?

(206) 543-8736

Just tell them you’re waitlisted and want to know your current position. ?

Has everyone received their UW(not SON) admission decision? Just got mine, was accepted, but still on the waitlist for SON. I wonder how admission decisions will impact the waitlist

Good morning and congratulations on your admission to UW! I would call the SoN at (206) 543-8736 to see how this will impact the waitlist and check your current place. I have not received a UW general admission decision, yet. However, I was accepted to the SoN. I was curious if anyone was in the same boat as me. I called and was told they were sending out general admission decisions by the end of the week, if not the following the week.

I was able to register for classes today. Check your myUW registration page and use the curriculum grid that can be found at

Gave up my spot on the waitlist to pursue a Respiratory Therapy program this Summer. Wishing all the best to everyone who made it in or are still Waitlist hopefuls. Maybe we’ll work together some day. :)

Will we be making a FB group for our cohort as well?

There are two ways to create a special area for your cohort, that are Terms-of-Service approved.

One is to create a facebook page.  This link is allowed to be posted and are above.

The other is to create a "Club" within the site, by clicking on the Breakroom link (upper left-hand corner, in the yellow bar) and in the green area, click Start a Breakroom Club.

Any other references or links posted are not TOS-approved, and will be removed.

We wish you success In your Nursing program!
