Hi future nurses ?
I have started to submit materials to all of the schools that I am applying to this year (yippie!) and saw that the University of Washington's BSN program application opened today.
I thought it might be fun to start a thread for this cohort of applicants for questions, comments, worries, etc.
I am a post-bacc student with a sub-par GPA (3.1 undergrad in Sociology with a 3.6 pre-requisite GPA). I previously earned my CNA license in another state, and I am hoping to get it reinstated in Washington here in the next couple of weeks... and hopefully get some CNA work experience.
I'd love to hear from anyone about their application experiences with UW in the past!
Let's chat ?

I’ve tried to look at it, but can’t seem to find a valid link. Can someone please post a link so I can check the status of my application? Thank you!
Hey sunflowers,
It’s the same website we used to apply. Here’s a link: https://uwnurse.force.com/ApplicantPortal/ERx_Forms__Portal_Login

Mine does. I was wondering if the applications are screened on a first come first serve basis. Let's hope for the best.
Hi Everyone! I also reapplied this year for fall 22 cycle. The waiting period is also making me a nervous reck...I'm glad to of found some people, whom are in the same boat. I wish all of you the best of luck! Your going to be absolutely amazing nurses and I wish you all so much success in moving forward.
Honestly, I would love nothing more to attend uw since it's a dream of mine.
Unfortunately, I asked for information to one out of state college, in Kansas, this year and they wanted to interview me right away. Next thing I was sending my unofficial transcripts and got an acceptance letter the next day. I didn't even apply, but the entire admissions is based upon a 5 question zoom interview. Upon my experience applying to uw, it was so much easier to get into a school in the mid west. No letter of recommendation, no testing, and literally no stress.
That being said, I want more than anything to stay close to home and attend uw. Push yourself to apply for one out of state. It was a great feeling to be accepted somewhere when technically I never applied.
Now I'm conflicted with a huge decision to make coming April 15th. I feel like I've hit a life crisis because nursing is my passion and now I feel torn between two schools.

Did you submit your Transfer application, my application status changed to complete and under review after the transfer transfer application deadline.
I'm a transfer from Edmonds College.
I don't think it's first come serve basis at uw. I've read a lot of comment forums on redditt. Basically they are looking for suitable candidates as a holistic approach along with whom have actually participated in A&P labs in person.
Did any of you complete virtual labs for those two courses?
I retook A&PII a second time for a higher grade and we had virtual labs.
