I am hoping to start a thread for University of Washington’s BSN program for Fall 2020.
Is anyone else applying to the traditional BSN after being rejected or waitlisted for the ABSN? What are your strategies in improving your application this time around?
I am currently waitlisted for the ABSN, and having just completed my BS, I have my heart set on that program. But through the application process I realized that I would rather do two years of school at UW than do an ABSN anywhere else. I look forward to getting to know you all better in this process. I too was thinking decisions were coming out today. I worked a 12 hour shift last night and was so scared to fall asleep this morning because I didn’t want to miss a call if one! Besides I was so anxious and nervous I couldNt sleep right away, but when I finnally did I got a call around 9:45 and it was marked as private caller and my heart dropped! Anywho it was just from my sons school LOL ugh their timing right ? then my heart was beating so fast I couldn’t go back to sleep! At this point I’m guessing it will be next Friday. Here’s too another week! ? We got this!
Early this morning I had this dream that we were all waiting in a room at UW, and every so often someone would pop their head in and say “Just a little longer! We’re almost ready!” But the decisions never came. It’s a bummer how that played out in real life today. I know it’s hard everywhere right now, but this waiting is also really hard. Glad to hear I’m not the only one struggling to keep my patience. Best of luck to everyone and I hope we get some good news soon!
My goodness, thank you for bringing some humor in this. I can't stop laughing reading your posts @Lorena93 and @Lauren Siler. We are in this together. I'm very grateful for this thread.
I just got an acceptance email from UW BSN but I am likely going to decline admission to this program since I was admitted to the ABSN off the waitlist. I hope this helps people on this waitlist as it helped me for the ABSN program! Good luck everyone and take don’t forget to breathe!
