UW BSN 2020

Published

I am hoping to start a thread for University of Washington’s BSN program for Fall 2020.

Is anyone else applying to the traditional BSN after being rejected or waitlisted for the ABSN? What are your strategies in improving your application this time around?

I am currently waitlisted for the ABSN, and having just completed my BS, I have my heart set on that program. But through the application process I realized that I would rather do two years of school at UW than do an ABSN anywhere else. I look forward to getting to know you all better in this process. Good luck to all the applicants!

I got accepted! I was actually checking my emails when the acceptance email came in and upon seeing the "Congratulations," I started crying, and startled my family members. My only concern is that I received the email, but no phone calls. Is anyone else experiencing the same thing? I'm wondering if I will get a call next week although I already submitted my Intent to Register form today?

Anyways, congratulations to everyone who got accepted! I am excited to meet you all. By the way, will there be a facebook group for our cohort?

here's the link to a facebook group for our cohort!

I was waitlisted too. CONGRATS to everyone that got accepted!

I was waitlisted as well. Does anyone know how many spots are on the waitlist?

CONGRATS to the UW BSN class of 2022!

I also got in and have a question that is directed at Adrian.

I'm a UW alum and applied separately to UW for admission as a post baccalaureate student. Is it common to be accepted to the SON and not be accepted to the UW? Is it just a formality at this point?

Thanks for any info you can give!

Linda

I’m also wondering how long the waitlist is. I know the ABSN was going through a few spots hopefully ours does too!

The video I watched about the admissions process stated there are 15 waitlist spots tho Adrian said in an earlier post they may expand the wait list this year due to current events with corona virus/COVID-19.

Good luck - fingers crossed for you that you get in!

I got an email saying they typically take 10 students off the waitlist

hi @G9780

did you ask them? Or did you randomly receive that email?

I’m in disbelief that I got in this year after being rejected last year. I am SO excited! I’ve been dreaming of this for the last 9 years. I’m a mom to 3, currently volunteering and working full time in a local hospital. Anyone else in similar circumstances?
