UVA CNL 2017

Hi everyone!

I wanted to start a thread because I didn't see one yet for the UVA CNL 2017 applicants. Anyone else out there? I just submitted my application and am applying to a few other direct entry MSN programs. Let me know how the rest of you are doing!

Hi everyone. I wish everyone the best of luck with their interviews!

Hard to imagine I was anxiously waiting just a year ago

(Fortunately, last year, they did phone interviews at the end of November/first week of December and delivered our presents on the day before Christmas.)

Congratulations all! I am interviewing on the 21st. Does anyone know how many people they are interviewing? I wonder how many interviews they did last year?

Hi all!

I was also lucky enough to receive an interview and called in last Monday to book a time for said interview.

However, I have yet to receive a confirmation email- has everyone received theirs yet? I'm getting worried and have tried calling the office, but it still seems to be closed for the holidays.

I haven't received my confirmation email either.

First of all congrats on getting an interview! My best guess about the confirmation email is that it will be sent out once the University is back in session. I believe the academic faculty and staff return Jan 3. I would give it another week.

Just curious, do you happen to know around how many interviews they did last year or normally do?

Unfortunately, I do not. I think it's safe to assume that they offer more interviews than spots available. The UVA CNL website states that the 2016 cohort had 43 students and there were over 100 applications.

I did hear back from admissions and the office said that the e-mails should be going out next week or so!

Also I know a similar question has been asked already, but would anyone from previous cohorts be able to give an estimate as to what percentage of interviewees are offered a spot in the program?

Sorry, wish I knew some numbers of how many interviews were extended compared to how many acceptances went out, but I don't know.
