UVA CNL 2017

Hi everyone!

I wanted to start a thread because I didn't see one yet for the UVA CNL 2017 applicants. Anyone else out there? I just submitted my application and am applying to a few other direct entry MSN programs. Let me know how the rest of you are doing!

I haven't heard anything yet but they said mid-December...it should be any day now??

I received an email last night (at 11:30pm) from Adam Seid, who is the assistant director for admissions. The email had a very obvious title, and I was invited for an interview!

Also, 21277 do you have any tips for us about the interview?

Pretty sure they have lots of different folks who do the phone interviews, so your experience may vary, but most people find it to be super laid back and non-stressful. I would just be prepared to tell them why you chose this career path and why this program specifically. Just be yourself, don't use canned answers like "because I want to help people" without giving more detail to make yourself stand out, and you'll make an impression, I'm sure. :)

Congrats to everyone invited for an interview! I received an email late Friday night as well for an interview. I know everyone is not from the Charlottesville area, but does everyone have to come to an in person interview or is a phone interview or skype an option?

Unless something has changed this year, they only do phone interviews, regardless of whether you live near or far.

I'm assuming things must have changed this year because they are having in person interviews January 20-21. There was no mention of a phone interview as an option. When I called this morning to schedule an interview the slots were only 20 minutes. I just did not understand why they would expect students to travel all the way there for an interview that's only 20 minutes
