  1. We have at least two, if not, three people in our current class (2018) that commute from Richmond, VA to UVA. While doable, you have to account that it will eat up valuable time to study, do homework, and such because you are commuting back and forward for those two days during the Fall and Spring. (Don't forget the "rush hour" traffic to leave Cville and get into NOVA (and vice versa) during these times might make the commute longer than 2hrs). Also, as 21277 stated, during the summer, it can be pretty exhausting. You may have to commute up to five days a week. For example-- L&D (the second half of 1st Summer) was five days in a row for two weeks straight before we eased into clinicals. So, a summer sublet might be in order. Lastly, by commuting, you lose the opportunity to bond and hang out with your cohort depending how engaging you are in class, over Facebook, and such.
  2. Hi everyone. I wish everyone the best of luck with their interviews! Hard to imagine I was anxiously waiting just a year ago (Fortunately, last year, they did phone interviews at the end of November/first week of December and delivered our presents on the day before Christmas.)
  3. Congrats to everyone who got in! To those that got in and don't mind, do you mind sharing some of your stats so others can compare from the present and the future? ie., Where did you go to Undergrad? What did you major in? What was your GPA range? Did you take the GRE? What healthcare experience did you have? Did you take some, all, or none of your prereqs at a community college or as an undergrad? Where do you live now? Did you apply to other schools? Secondly, did everyone who got in received an email from SIS this evening? Lastly, do you plan to accept or are you waiting for another school?
