UTMB Summer 2018

I just wanted to start a group for those applying to UTMB nursing summer 2018 start! I didn't see a thread and figured there was some of us who could use one!

I have already taken my teas and will be submitting my application soon! This would be a great place for us to compare timelines and answer any questions I'm sure we all have! I look forward to hearing from other applicants.

Do you guys think today is the day we hear back? When I called them on the 11th they said 1-2 weeks, so it should be this week....but it's already Friday...

I'm assuming/wishing we will hear something back today because that's what Ms. Botello told me. She said later next week which is this week now. Later to me was either yesterday or today so hoping it's today!

You know, I messaged her and Ms. DeLeon earlier this week, and neither of them replied to me. It's kind of annoying, I'm sure they're busy and all but, oh well.

So I just called to see what was going on and a lady named Katherine answered, I asked what the status of everything was and she said that they are currently doing interviews for waitlisting? Which is confusing because we already interviewed and why would we interview again? And she said that she is not sure if all the acceptances have been sent out yet or not, and that Ms. Botello is out for the day and to call her back on Monday..

THIS S*IT IS LITERALLY MAKING ME SO MAD. I feel like its so easy for them just to keep blowing off and moving dates whenever we need to know things now because we're trying to make plans and start school...idk just a thought

Also, are you planning on calling for an update today?

Buy more information did you mean the blue card? If so I already did that when I was on the waitlist for the fall. I'm not sure if she'll reply but I emailed Ms. Botello last Friday regarding the application. Did the email ask for anything else?

Yes, she said it was for the blue card. What is that exactly?

Do you think it's a good sign that she asked for it?

I think it's a good thing cause the blue card is clearance from the Board of Nursing

Just got a waitlist email. I don't even understand. Of course I'm grateful but I was on the waitlist for the fall and thought without a doubt I'd get in this summer. I honestly don't understand at all how they came to this decision but now I'm just praying I get in.
