UTMB Summer 2018

I just wanted to start a group for those applying to UTMB nursing summer 2018 start! I didn't see a thread and figured there was some of us who could use one!

I have already taken my teas and will be submitting my application soon! This would be a great place for us to compare timelines and answer any questions I'm sure we all have! I look forward to hearing from other applicants.

I interviewed in November as well and I haven't heard anything back. I thought that us even getting an interview was a good sign and I'm hoping I don't get rejected after having an interview! I'm back to applying to different nursing programs and now starting classes tomorrow to complete prereqs for other programs. Hopefully we can hear something this week!

I feel your pain guys. I was in the first round of interviews in October. I was told by my interviewer that I should hear back in 4-6 weeks, but it's been 11 weeks now. When I called in December I was told my name had an asterisk next to it and that meant I was in the next group to reviewed, but still I've heard nothing. When I called last Thursday, I was told I should hear something by end of this week. Also, I was told that they finished reviewing all the applicants on last Monday.

Did those who got a waitlist email already interview?

It's me waiting too! It sucks so much. I didn't receive a waitlist email or an acceptance so I have no clue what my status is. Praying this is the week!

Im waiting too! I interviewed November 20th and haven't received a waitlist email so I have no idea if that means i've been denied or anything. It's driving me CRAZY!!!

If you read past threads, it looks like yes.

Also, I don't know about you all, but there were 17 people being interviewed at the same time I was. No way they can accept everyone they interview based on those numbers.

I wonder if they've been sending out rejections as they go like the have acceptances?

Each group of interviews has a different numbered people I believe, I heard one person went in by themselves once and when I went for my interview there were 4 other people with me. I called last Thursday and they told me to wait 1-2 more weeks to hear something back. I'm really worried they only have rejection letters at this point, but I did read earlier in this forum that someone was accepted in February for the past summer so who knows. This is all just crazy.

My heart nearly dropped a few minutes ago when I received an email from Ms. Botello subject UTMB School of Nursing Summer Admissions but all it said was "Good Morning,

UTMB School of Nursing is in the process of making admissions decisions for summer admissions. At the current time we are trying to wrap up interviews, then we will be sending out notifications later next week.

Please contact me if you have any questions in regards to admissions or decisions as I am the person that sends out all information to our BSN students."

What the actual heck. I have received nothing. I'm really not a fan of all this inconsistency.

Did you email her-- is that why you think she emailed you that? Or have others received this email?

Wow I still haven't received anything either!!! I called 3 different people at the office and none of them answered.

I had emailed Ms.Botello last week and she emailed me back today saying that they are still working on summer admissions.

I think she may have emailed me because I had reached out to my interviewer and now she feels like she has to keep me up to date. Not sure though..either way I feel like if you didn't get that email we should all be hearing something back by the end of next week. Fingers crossed! On the subject of getting rejected I have heard of very few, especially people who were interviewed. In my interview group there were 5 including me and I'm not sure if those people have been accepted or not.
