UTMB Summer 2018

Published

I just wanted to start a group for those applying to UTMB nursing summer 2018 start! I didn't see a thread and figured there was some of us who could use one!

I have already taken my teas and will be submitting my application soon! This would be a great place for us to compare timelines and answer any questions I'm sure we all have! I look forward to hearing from other applicants.

Doesn't seem like we are going to hear anything before Christmas :(

I got my acceptance email yesterday 🤗My interview was oct 30

Would you mind sharing your stats please? Does anyone know if they're done with interviews?

Congratulations!

Does anyone know if they've been sending out rejections as they work through the groups yet?

It doesn't seem like they have accepted a lot of people so far, but then again I am sure not everyone posts on here.

Sure,

Overall GPA 3.2-4? sorry forgot

Science GPA 4.0

TEAS 87

and I have almost 4 years of experience in healthcare. I hope you hear something soon! I waited 8 weeks :/

I am wondering if anyone could give me some advice.

I have accepted TWU spring 2018 and already posted immunizations and submitted needed docs. My issue is that I am currently 23 weeks pregnant. Meaning I will give birth second week of April right before finals in May. They are letting me go part time for the first semester ( just gonna take patho and pharm). Then I'll have summers off and that will give me time to adjust to being a new mom before second semester starts in August. Graduation date will be spring 2020. TWU is a 15 min drive for me.

I am wondering if I should just wait till I give birth in April and start in May at UTMB so I could finish off the following year August 2019.

She will be 3 weeks old when summer semester starts.

Its a little over an hour drive for me.

I will have three weeks to adjust with my first child.

Maybe someone can give me an idea with how our schedules might look like? Will our first semester require us to be on campus/clinicals 3-4 times a week?

Does anyone else need to get the Health Professional's BLS certification. I know they have a link to the American Heart Association on the "after admitted" tab but I was wondering if anyon else needed to get it, and if anyone knew where else I can get it.

Hello Everyone! My name is Daisy and I am trying to apply for the 2018 Traditional BSN track at UTMB. Do y'all know if UTMb accepts repeated/ retaken classes, and how many classes can an applicant retake? I ask because my GPA is a low 3.0, and I would like to retake the classes that are pulling my GPA down. Thank you for taking the time to consider my question, and I hope you have a blessed day!

Just heard that they are about half way through all the applications. Eek

Do you mean half way through acceptances or half way through looking at all applications?

They said "half way through applications" so I'm not sure exactly!
