Hi future nurses! I didn't see a discussion board for the summer term of 2017, so I decided to make one myself(: Let's use this forum to discuss grades, TEAS, and the application process. This does include venting! We all know how anxiety kicks in when there's a bump in the road. Good luck to everyone that is applying!

I can't wait for the application period opens. Anyone that is re-applying, any tips?

Hello! I applied for the summer 2017. My gpa is a 3.0 my science is a 3.3 and my teas is a 84. I have a lot of experience in healthcare already so I included my resume. Good luck everyone!!

Well... now we wait! Submitted my application last week and just submitted the supplemental. Eeek! Good luck everyone, hope we all make the cut!

Has anyone received an interview yet?

I submitted my application an hour after it opened the first night and have not heard anything. I would think i would be one of the first to know if they do them in order as they come. Has anyone talked to any of the advisor about what days the board is meeting to start going through them?

From what I gather (many different sources saying different things) they do them in waves and not nessecarily chronologically.

Good news! I spoke with my aunt who knows someone that works at UTMB and she said they have already started reviewing the applications. She didn't say anything about when they will be calling for interviews but I think that the people who submitted their application right after it opened should be hearing back about an interview any day now because they have already started going through the applications. I will keep everyone updated if I get any further news!

In case anyone missed this.

Most of us are likely in the OASA category now. That being said, for spring I got my rejection email about 16 weeks after my supplemental application was received and that seemed to not be uncommon. This stage takes ALOT of patience.

If you don't mind me asking when did you submit you application for the spring? Im just wondering if you were one of the first couple of waves or one of the last couple waves....

I I was definitely one of the last waves and I applied the last day. But there were people that applied the same day as me that got accepted 10 weeks before I heard anything and people who applied early that heard back the same day as me. I don't know what their system was.
