UTMB Summer 2017

Hi future nurses! I didn't see a discussion board for the summer term of 2017, so I decided to make one myself(: Let's use this forum to discuss grades, TEAS, and the application process. This does include venting! We all know how anxiety kicks in when there's a bump in the road. Good luck to everyone that is applying!

I can't wait for the application period opens. Anyone that is re-applying, any tips?

How long after submitting supplemental app did y'all receive MyStar login info?

I received my supplemental app and submitted it that same night. The following day in the evening I received my MyStar login.

In short, yes.

They accept 90 students for summer but have 200-300 applicants typically (at least that's what they said at the open house in June.

In spring they take about 120 students but 600-800 apply.

No, but I just looked through last years summer thread. Looks like the first invitations for interview were almost 3 weeks after the due date. So we may still have a week or two to wait.

I'm hoping we all get accepted. I've been through previous applications and have been rejected so I'm really hoping UTMB will be good news for a change!

Does anyone have any prerequisites left to take during the spring 2017 semester? Just curious, I have two left!

I still have 5 classes I need to take however they are all history/government and then the nutrition class.

Do you know what day the classes have to be completed by in order to start the program? I'm asking because I noticed on the UTMB website that nursing school begins on May 8th but I won't be done with prereqs until May 10th. I'm not sure what to do about this..

I had my interview on Monday. This was the first wave of interviews. Did anyone else get their interview during the first wave?

Congrats! is the first wave over then? I'm surprised no one mentioned getting offers.
