UTMB Summer 2017

Hi future nurses! I didn't see a discussion board for the summer term of 2017, so I decided to make one myself(: Let's use this forum to discuss grades, TEAS, and the application process. This does include venting! We all know how anxiety kicks in when there's a bump in the road. Good luck to everyone that is applying!

I can't wait for the application period opens. Anyone that is re-applying, any tips?

I have a 3.5 GPA with a 85.3% TEAS

Did anyone get an email about having to get a background check from the Texas Board of Nursing before being considered for acceptance?

Yes, I got an email today saying that I would not be required to submit fingerprints because the BON already has them on file. The email also stated that this was not any indication of my application status. From Dora Turner? This is the first thing I have heard back since applying in October.

Same here they said they already have my SS number. That was the first I've heard since my interview in NOV. I just got an email this morning saying that i was still being considered for admissions. I've already applied to other schools. I wish they were quicker with their admissions process.

I got that email this morning too! I hope it's good news for all of us when they decide to make a decision.

Has anyone gotten rejection emails?? I got an email this morning basically saying many applications are still being considered, and to keep being patient. But that's all I've received from them so far.. no acceptance and no rejection.

I had my interview in December and haven't heard a single word. Lucky you guys got at least an email. Maybe I should take their silence as bad news

No the email we recieved was general. Check your spam.

i had my interview on November 28th and the only email ive gotten since then was one where they needed my SS for the board of nursing and then one this morning about students not receiving decisions yet because they're still being reviewed by the committee

I got the same email this morning. This is the first time that I have heard from them. Hard to be patient when others have already been accepted or had their interview.
