UTMB Summer 2021 Applicants

Hi all!

Haven't seen a thread for UTMB Summer 2021 applicants, so I figured I'd start here. I'm hoping to wrap up my application soon pending a TEAS retake to edge it just a little bit higher. I also need to fine-tune my resume and personal statement.

I was accepted, I found out via portal and it was around 4:40 PM today.

Hey guys! I also got accepted today! I'm not sure when it posted but I checked my portal around 4:30. Congrats to everyone who got in! For those who are interested in knowing stats:

Overall GPA: 3.5, Science GPA: 3.7, TEAS score: 86

I will have a Bachelor's degree after December and I also put a lot of time and effort into my personal statement. I did not have any previous medical experience except for my high school clinicals class.

I have not gotten an email yet but I checked mystar around 4:30 and my status changed from "complete" to "Admit." I know they do acceptances in waves so just keep checking your portal! Good luck!!

Hi everyone! I was wondering if anyone else applied to UTHealth for Summer 2021 as well. My priority is UTHealth because I live in Houston, but I just got accepted into UTMB. Was wondering if anyone else might be in the same situation..? Thank you!!

So when will we know if we are waitlisted? I think all of the acceptances went out!! Congrats to everyone that got in :)

@mintbutt I'm in the same boat for a different program (A&M). I'm really worried I won't have heard back by the time I need to make a decision about UTMB.

The second wave will go out sometime after November 3rd, as that is the deadline for the first wave to accept or deny their seat. UTH has begun decisions and TWU is yet to send out theirs, so there will be a lot of shifting and moving.

Hey everyone!

I got accepted last Tuesday so I just came on here to share my stats!

Overall and Science GPA: 4.0

TEAS: 89.3

I have my CNA and EMT certifications. I was also involved in a lot of leadership organizations in school.

I saw the status of my application on mystar change to 'admit' at around 10:45 on Tuesday morning. I got my official acceptance email on Wednesday at 1:00 pm!

I just got my email. I was placed on the waitlist.

Currently waitlisted for Spring and Summer. Wish me luck.

Hello all, 

From reading other forums I'm seeing that there are 3 waves. Does anyone else know how many waves/when these waves are? I'm seeing a pattern of Tuesdays being the day that admissions are released. I was waitlisted today!
