UTMB Spring 2018

Hello everyone! I plan on applying to UTMB for Spring 2018 entry and can't find a post on it, so I decided to make one! I am taking my TEAS end of April. I already have a degree from the University of Houston in Health Communication and minor in Nutrition. I am finishing my last two prerequisites (A&P2, Microbiology) right now at a community college. Anyone else looking to apply? Deadline is coming up next month, so I thought it would be awesome to get a group thread going! Would love to hear from others applying!

I thought that we get a page on the UTMB Facebook? ?? Jules81, 50shadesofcray - can you please let us know if this is the case or not and how we should proceed? Thank you!

UTMB will make an official FB. It takes a few weeks just because it isn't the priority. Elizabeth Botello is one of the administrators on it. We created an unofficial one to add people to it from here as they got accepted and they made the administrator change the name to not reflect the school in any way.

The traditional BSN for Spring 2017 has been doing interviews for about 2 or 3 weeks now. They have not started summer interviews yet.

What program are you in? I called today about the traditional BSN program and they said they hadn't started interviews yet.

My interview is tomorrow in the morning. Any advice for tomorrow?

Just like Jules said they will create an official fb page for your class. Closer to the end of interviews they will send out a link for the new student guide to your personal email that will have more info about the fb page. Be weary that nursing instructors as well as upper classmen in the nursing program will be on there as well, so be professional.

Done with the Interview! It wasn't bad, I think I did Okay. It was very short, about 20-30 mins (I don't know how I feel about that). My Interviewer was really nice. She told me that I am a good candidate and I will found out about in 2-3 weeks or sooner.
