UTMB Spring 2018

Hello everyone! I plan on applying to UTMB for Spring 2018 entry and can't find a post on it, so I decided to make one! I am taking my TEAS end of April. I already have a degree from the University of Houston in Health Communication and minor in Nutrition. I am finishing my last two prerequisites (A&P2, Microbiology) right now at a community college. Anyone else looking to apply? Deadline is coming up next month, so I thought it would be awesome to get a group thread going! Would love to hear from others applying!

Is there anyone looking for roommate in Galveston?, I'm a girl , 30 years old. I'm thinking about start to apply for school housing.

Didn't know there was school housing there since they gave everyone a apt list before the interview, I'll be moving out their with my wife and dog, having a dog is the difficult thing about finding a place to live so if anyone else is taking their pet and finding apts please share the word on dog friendly areas.thanks

I was given a sheet with apts on it by Mrs. Spruce when I was waiting in the conference room to get interviewed, almost like a welcome packet as well

I was talking about that list, I think we need to apply those apartments through school , aren't we?

No those are not school housing locations, just locations around the island that would best fit students prices and what not, you have to call the locations like any regular apt and go thru the application process. I wish i could take a pic and share it but you can pretty much just google he apts in galveston and they are the ones that pop up on the list

There are a good many i could share, but i would need specifics on what you are looking for in an apt, like i said for me its hard cause i have a gsd and thats considered an aggressive breed so its hard to find a place that is willing to accept pets like that.

I would say absolutely! Based off previous threads, there are 3 or 4 rounds of interviews over a period of several months. They just got started sending interview requests 3 weeks ago. Don't give up!

Not sure where you are relocating from but you may be able to rent a house for what you would rent an apartment for if you are willing to drive a little bit. I live in Webster which is about a 30 minute drive and there are tons of houses for very reasonably priced. They are typically also more flexible with dog breeds.
