UTMB Spring 2018

Hello everyone! I plan on applying to UTMB for Spring 2018 entry and can't find a post on it, so I decided to make one! I am taking my TEAS end of April. I already have a degree from the University of Houston in Health Communication and minor in Nutrition. I am finishing my last two prerequisites (A&P2, Microbiology) right now at a community college. Anyone else looking to apply? Deadline is coming up next month, so I thought it would be awesome to get a group thread going! Would love to hear from others applying!

Sorry if this question has been asked before but are interviews being sent out to those who sent their app first? From what I'm reading it feels like everyone who sent in their app before the deadline has been getting interviews as opposed to someone who sent it in last minute

It seems like the individuals who submitted their applications within the 1st month of it opening have received interviews so far, since Jules who was accepted last app cycle says there are usually 3-4 waves. Hope that helps

Just to give some feedback: I submitted my application May 29th and had an interview last week, so it isn't always by date submitted. 3.5 overall GPA, 89.4 TEAS overall, previous BA in Business and several years of management experience.

Same here. I submitted the application on May 19th and I am interviewing on Aug 2nd.

Nope this is my dream school because I want to end up working for them and eventually end up in their trauma unit :)

Thank you. Sure I will (I am sooo nervous!).

Also, UTMB is my first choice. I will think about applying to other schools depending on how well the interview goes.

I think I made a bad decision because I only took my TEAS and not the HESI. So I'm very limited on where I can apply... Then for the LVN/RN programs at CC's, they want HESI and I'm competing against everyone who has 4.0's in their sciences... It sucks to put yourself out like this, and know that you might be rejected!

I only took the TEAS. I am planning on taking the HESI in August though. I know it's hard waiting. I am planning on applying to two schools that accept the HESI before the deadlines. I am in the middle of a prerequisite that is demanding all of my time though. Gah. Back to studying for me.

Me too! Micro is killing me, I am supposed to retake my TEAS in 2 weeks
