Hello everyone! I plan on applying to UTMB for Spring 2018 entry and can't find a post on it, so I decided to make one! I am taking my TEAS end of April. I already have a degree from the University of Houston in Health Communication and minor in Nutrition. I am finishing my last two prerequisites (A&P2, Microbiology) right now at a community college. Anyone else looking to apply? Deadline is coming up next month, so I thought it would be awesome to get a group thread going! Would love to hear from others applying!
Thank u. Mine was 10 and it went ok, how was yours?
It went very well, I was interviewed by Dr. heard she is an amazing faculty member to be interviewed by and made the atmosphere very friendly that i was able to open up right away. She did a great job on answering the questions i had at the end about the program and gave me insight of what is expected of you while in the program and frequent problems students have.
Congrats to the people who have been interviewed. I am sure everyone did well!Any idea on when the second round of interviews will start?
I know with us for fall it took about four weeks after the first set of interviews started before the second group started to be offered interview slots but I've seen it vary in prior semesters posted on here.
Hey guys! Congratualions to everyone that has had an interview! Does anyone know if there's more interviews to come? Or when will the interviews end for Spring 2018? I submitted my application on NCAS in late May, so I don't know if I should patiently wait?
There are still plenty more interviews to come! Interviews will be going on for several months. It's a looooong process so patiently waiting is unfortunately what has to happen.
hi everyone! i was waitlisted for the fall semester and am currently waiting to hear back for spring! (i applied at the deadline) i saw some comments about people being worried about their stats so i thought i'd share mine. i'm not sure how to find my nursing prereq GPA but on nursingcas my natural science GPA is 2.94 and overall GPA is 3.04. TEAS: math-96.9 reading-83 english-100 science-76.6 overall-87.3
as you can see, my GPA was pretty low and i did have to wait til near the end of the application cycle to get an interview but i think it shows that UTMB really considers all parts of your application, so if you're doubting yourself based on your GPA, don't lose hope!
