Howdy! I couldn't find a thread for Spring 2016, so I figured I would start my own. I'm having trouble with this whole application thing (mostly stress!), so I would love to talk to others going through this same process!

Not yet on the fb page. The school said to contact them and they'd get it started once the new semester got started.

Where did you go to apply for the scholarships? Were essays required? What all did they entail?

I applied on mystar. When you log on, go to campus solutions and then you will see an icon for Online Scholarship Application. Click that and you will see it. You should of gotten an email from UTMB Outlook.

All that is required is that you fill your FASFA and then you can apply for all of them. When you apply, all you have to do is check it and submit. No essays! There are like three that require a reference letter.

Today would be really nice! The suspense is killing me! I interviewed 3 weeks ago today. My application was delayed because NursingCAS kicked my application back to me and it took them months to verify it all. So this has really been a waiting game. I keep checking my email, MyStar, and back here to see if anyone else has received good news. Lol, any day now! :) Good luck to you and everyone else who is waiting!

Hello all! I've been accepted to the Spring 2016 SON BSN nursing program and am looking for a potential roommate to live with in galveston this upcoming January. The lease would be for 1 year. I prefer a 1 bed/1 bath where one person could live in the living room and one in the bedroom and share the bathroom. Or both share the bedroom and leave the living room free. I'm open to either options. I am also open to renting a 2 bed/2 bath as long as the monthly rent does not exceed $600 ($700 at most). I have a few apartments in mind and would love to share them with anyone interested!

I would love a roommate who is clean, quiet, and studious as it will be the most stressful 16 months of both of our lives. Having a sanctuary to relax in would make it easier on the both of us! Please email me at [email protected] if you're interested. Thanks!

I don't recall seeing the email but I did apply. Does it give dates due or dates they notify or anything?

Does insurance cover the costs of the Hep B and Chicken Pox Titer?

If not, where are the cheapest places you got them? How much did you pay?

I went through my doctor and that allowed me to file with insurance. Several clinics are reasonable but they are like cash prices. If you are close to UTMB they are the cheapest. You can set it up with student health immunizations.

Finally I was able to reach someone!Unfortunately UTMB student health doesn't provide a listing of the cost for the vaccination since the prices change. However, for the TB skin test it cost $22 and for the bacterial meningitis vaccine it'll cost $115. These prices are by far one of the cheapest I've seen. I've called Heb rediclinic, Walgreens, CVS, free health clinics around Houston and they were all expensive. I'll update in here if I find lower prices. Let's all help each other out! 😊

I received an acceptance letter for UTMB's Spring 2016 semester!! Super excited! I have been following this thread for awhile but this is my first time posting anything lol cause I was scared. Will anyone be commuting from Houston and would like to carpool? It would be great to get 3 or 4 in a car so we can cut down expenses.
