UTMB Spring 2016

Published

Howdy! I couldn't find a thread for Spring 2016, so I figured I would start my own. I'm having trouble with this whole application thing (mostly stress!), so I would love to talk to others going through this same process!

Just interviewed yesterday! She said that they were trying to raise the # to 140!

Did they say why? Curious if they were already having to wait list. I interview Friday!

They didn't really say why! My interviewer did say that if you made it to the 2nd round (got an interview), and you seem like a good person, then you're pretty much accepted!

Kativeejv that's good news! Is this current round of interviews the 2nd or 3rd round of interviews?

From what I've seen it's the second round of interviews.

I feel so blessed to get an interview! Proud to say i'm scheduling mine around mid August! Hope is not lost yet. :)

I have no idea what round this is! Sorry.

@katieejv I think in this context by "the second round" they meant the interview. The 1st round is UTMB selecting applicants based on grades/scores, etc. The 2nd round is the interview. I suppose the last round is the background screenings. Some people also refer to rounds of interviews: some of us were interviewed in June (1st rounds of interviews), then others in July (2nd rounds), and the rest in August (3rd rounds).

@shasbus Thanks for clearing that up! Still a little flustered with everything!

@katieniel I hope your question was answered by that!

Just interviewed today and it didn't go too well because I was so nervous. Anyone know how much they weigh in on interviews when considering an applicant?

So how many more round of interviews are left? They are calling people this week, and probably next week aswell, but how many more

Maybe you did better than you think, don't stress out too much! :)
