UTMB Spring 2016

Howdy! I couldn't find a thread for Spring 2016, so I figured I would start my own. I'm having trouble with this whole application thing (mostly stress!), so I would love to talk to others going through this same process!

I'm still waiting on a invitation for an interview :/ hopefully the next batch of us gets emails soon.

Me too. I enjoy seeing all the updates but I get a little more nervous everytime I don't hear anything!

Hello all,

I have been lurking on this thread, but decided to join because I just found out that I have been accepted for spring 2016! I am so excited! However, I did apply to a few other schools and I am curious if those of you who have been accepted are going ahead and accepting your offers if you are still waiting to hear back from other schools. I know most schools do not send out acceptance offers till October and November. I do not want lose my spot in the utmb program so I will most likely reserve my spot and pay the deposit in the next few days. Is anyone else in a similar predicament?

(Other schools I am applying to: TWU, UTHSC-houston, A&M (second degree))

Stats for those that are interested: 3.5 overall and science gpa, 97 on TEAS, A&M Grad(in december)

I am in a similar situation. Not really a predicament, I think, but I feel I can be more selective where I am applying. Before being accepted to UTMB I considered applying to many schools. But now I am only applying to one other school - UTHSC-Houston. Houston is closer for me. But if I am accepted to both schools, I will consider final tuition rates and cost of living.

What school is your preference? I accepted utmb but also have other programs that I'm waiting to hear back from.

My first choice is TWU because I already live in the area, and it would be the most cost effective option for me. I think all the schools are really great though, which makes it hard to decide!

they ask about your study habits, how you can handle distractions outside of school. I was asked if I thought about an area of nursing I was interested in. Also, of course, why nursing? It is informal, do not be nervous.

Ncas sent on May 9th. Verified on June 1st. Got mystar a couple days later. Interview on June 25
