Howdy! I couldn't find a thread for Spring 2016, so I figured I would start my own. I'm having trouble with this whole application thing (mostly stress!), so I would love to talk to others going through this same process!

accepted!!! Just received an email and my status has a green check mark in mystar. Oh how I've wanted this news for so long!!

I know the feeling. Been working on the prereqs for about a year now and its getting old. What I like about UTMB admissions process is that you find out WELL IN ADVANCE. So you stop worrying and stressing out. You can also keep applying to other programs if you want, but a HUGE load is lifted. UTHSC in Houston lets you know in November I think. That's way out there.

Does anyone know the area and can recommend housing? I'm thinking about the east district near school.

My green circle changed to a check. There is another check mark with "admitted" next to up. But still says I can accept or decline. Didn't change back to a green circle. Anyone else have this? I'm sure it's fine.

From talking to other students during my visit there, my preference is to get an apartment as close to school as possible, so I can walk to school. I am thinking even student housing, but there is a wait list.

I already live in that area, and i recommend it 100%. My husband is a student there and parking is a nightmare, so most of them either walk or ride their bikes!

Just wondering, can anyone tell me if they prefer someone with a bachelors with and average gpa of 3.1-3.2 ish or would they prefer an associates degree with a gpa of 3.6 and above? I am not sure at this point because I hear people with a bachelors get more points to get in this program. Can anyone clarify for me?

I have not hear from any of them yet, not a call, not an interview or anything. Can anyone tell me how the interview process goes? Do they call or mobile phone?
