The application period for UTMB Spring 2013 is now open! Have any of you already applied/ taken the teas? Good luck to all!

Yes, I think they are. When I called on Monday the lady said it could be 2-3 more weeks and when she explained the review process she made it sound like they are reviewed in rounds. Like she said enrollment services has to verify everything then when they do they send it over in groups as they finish so the committee gets them in groups I guess. The order doesn't necessarily have anything to do with your stats but how quickly your info gets verified and sent by nursingCAS then from enrollment services to them. That's how I took it anyway. Does anyone know how many they are accepting? 110?

No idea but I remember seeing the number of applicants on my teas report (taken about 2 weeks before the deadline) it said 860 for our cohort. I am so nervous and stressed, and looking at all the awesome scores from people being accepted is making me lose hope.

860...woah! I didn't see that cause I took mine at SFA and then had it sent over. BUT don't lose hope...I think I read online that they accept about 110 but I can't remember if that's Fall or Spring. What was your TEAS score?

84 if I remember correctly.

Well that is really good too. Don't get discouraged (easier said than done). I was told by the pre-admission advisor that 75% and above was competitive for the program. Good luck!!!

I've heard possibly even like 120 or 125, but I'm not 100% sure. When did y'all apply? I did in May. I've never been so nervous checking my mailbox, email, or account.

I started my application on NursingCAS in May and I think everything was finally received, verified and sent by them to UTMB on June 9th.

In may as well.

When we received that email 6 weeks ago about getting a response in 6 weeks there was contact information on there. I went ahead and emailed the lady in charge of the traditional program about 5 minutes ago and she said:

Information is going out this week, please feel free to contact me next Wednesday if you have not received any correspondence from us.

Dee1388: I hope you are right. I just called the number in that e-mail and she told me that my application was still being reviewed by the committee and that I should hear something in the next 3-4 weeks. Congrats to everybody who gets some news this week.

I just sent them an email regarding my application ... hoping they can tell me the status on mine! I'm so nervous! :(
