UTMB Spring 2012

Hey Guys!

I thought it would be a good idea to start a thread for all UTMB Galveston's Spring 2012 traditional bsn applicants. Have you all started to apply yet or at least looked at the application? What do you think? How are your personal statements/testing going? If you guys have anything worth discussing please post and good luck to all!

I have still been waiting on an email for an interview invite and so I have been checking my email only every other day instead of obsessing with it..... Well, today I checked my email and apparently I got an email on October 11 saying I was accepted to UTMB!! I haven't even had an interview! I got really excited and then I freaked out because I got scared that it was a mistake. I called this morning and it wasn't a mistake! I am really in!!!!!! I have been screaming and jumping and crying all day!!

UPDATE: So after crying a bucket of tears about my earlier post, I got some words of encouragement from my sister as well as from you guys (Thank You So Much) I decided to make a few more calls and do some investigating. Although I'd heard you guys mention TC I never thought much of it and always assumed it was a typo since there is also a TS. I called and spoke with B and she was SO NICE and very helpful. She said she couldn't be as to what happened either. She said maybe I didn't meet the minimum requirements and all those people will be notified together. Politely as possible I assured her that I DID. She said the best thing for me to do is to talk to TC Because she can really let me know what happened. Told me she was occupied and she'd pass along the message. After a few hours I couldn't take it anymore (for awhile I had been worried about calling "too much", but thought hey I have nothing to lose at this point and I need to fight for my future) I did some digging on the Internet and found contact info for TC. I called, she answered, gave her my name, and she said oh they've been trying to call you. Yours the one they left me the message about. Well everything is straightened out, the issue is FINALLY fixed with enrollment services and your information will be reviewed along with some others on Monday. I started crying AGAIN! And let her know how much I appreciated her help.

Thank you guys for telling me not to give up. So glad I didn't. Although it doesn't mean that I'm IN yet, so I'm not in the clear, but at least I'm not out of the race. PRAYING for an Interview. Would love the opportunity to get in there so they can meet ME, especially after all this.

To those who haven't heard anything yet, there per TC there not done with the meetings to select candidates for interview, they're having another meeting on Monday. So keep hope alive! I know I am!

AND A SPECIAL CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL OF THOSE WHO RECEIVED THEIR AMAZING NEWS TODAY! I AM HAPPY FOR YOU ALL! ;-)

There is already one for 2013 :) but yall may want a Springers one to make it easier to keep info straight. But you're welcome to join us though :)

Dang I was in the first batch of interviews on September 9th and I havent recieved an email....I'm going to be absolutely devasted if I don't get in....ughhhhh I guess I will call tmro.

Congrats to everyone who got it though!

am in there with you...i havent heard anything yet and i was sept 9th at 10 am....so let see what happens....also i talk to someone today and they told me that for whatever reason the people that got interviewed september 9th they barely started looking at them on tuesday...so keep ur head up...
