Hi I know it's a few months early, but have anyone started getting their application/essay ready to apply to UTMB for 2019? Lol I'm nervous looking at blogs from previous years. I'm also scared to take the TEAS. I plan on applying for Summer 2019.
My interviewer was honest and said she doesn't know much about the actual acceptance process, but she was told to say 8 weeks. I mentioned that the timeline on the utmb website say 2-3 weeks after interview but she said it will probably take longer because the Spring admission process just started. Im really hoping she was wrong lol
However, I have heard from past students that if you get an interview, you're basically in as long as you don't blow it. So fingers crossed!
I had my interview today. It was very relaxed and was more like a conversation than a interview. Definitely wear business attire though!I feel like the interview went really well, but she told me I wouldn't get my acceptance/denial decision for 8 weeks! Im so anxious and really don't want to wait that long lol. I was wondering if anyone who has already interviewed for Spring was told anything different regarding the wait time?
Congrats on getting an interview! I was wondering what questions they asked you and how long was your interview?
Thanks!
It was the typical questions that you would assume.
- why do you want to be a nurse?
- what are your study habits?
- who is your support system?
One question she asked several times was if I was sure I'd be able to handle their intense program. She asked this at least 3 times through out the interview. She would explain how things worked, the long hours, and difficult test and would ask.
Other than that, we were seriously just talking. She told me a lot about herself and I had a lot of questions for her. My email said the interview should be an hour long but I ended up staying for 2 hours.
