UTMB Spring/Summer 2019

Hi I know it's a few months early, but have anyone started getting their application/essay ready to apply to UTMB for 2019? Lol I'm nervous looking at blogs from previous years. I'm also scared to take the TEAS. I plan on applying for Summer 2019.

That's exactly what happened to me for Spring 2019. I got that email for fingerprints, but there were many accepted already. I ended up being waitlisted.

So just curious... when they sent you for fingerprinting did you know at that point you were on the waitlist?

I'm reading older blogs about UTMB and in the past they've asked people for fingerprints while waitlisted. The thing is, why didn't they just tell us we were being waitlisted so we can prepare for the possibility we don't get in? I wasn't interviewed for waitlist either but just did a background check for another RN school possibility. So they only asked me for my Social Securitu number instead

Yes I had been put on the waitlist in January and got an email about fingerprinting in February.

My interviewer told me they would be meeting tomorrow (Monday) and be deciding who's going on the waitlist, but I believe that are still also sending out acceptances.

Sorry if I was not clear I think fingerprinting is done in case you get accepted cause you'll need it regardless. So I think when they send out the fingerprint email you are being considered.

So I talked to admissions office today and they said they that the board of admissions is making their final decisions today. And they will be sending out letters to the final wave of interviewers later this week. Good luck everyone!

Nothing yet. Slowly losing hope as I haven't heard anything back for Summer 2019 either. This process has been crazy!

I never called about that but I did ask for a status update and they told me that I'm still on the waitlist for Spring 2019 and still being considered for Summer 2019. They told me it would be about 3-6 weeks and that was about 2 weeks ago. They also said they haven't made all final decisions and they are still being sent out. Hope it helps!
